I put some hyacinths in a pot with water every year.
Just pour water into a glass. A couple of days later the bulb makes white roots at bottom, and then it shoots up at the top.
It is still cold outside early spring and all the plants seem to die, though, there must be many battles under the ground.
Put it at a bright and cool corner and you can enjoy it for long time.
Put it in the entrance, and your guests can enjoy the sweet scents.
